From June 24 – July 5, we’re increasing the calls we make and limiting the calls we receive.
From June 24 to July 5, we'll be focusing on outbound calls. Please do not call the toll-free numbers with questions about specific claims - this will allow our specialists to focus on outbound calling to resolve issues for those who have been waiting the longest.
You may remember we did a similar change back in May – and when we did our adjudicators were able to be 90% more productive in resolving issues on claims than when the phones are fully open for inbound calls. We expect to get similar results this time and we appreciate your patience.
Inbound calls will continue for:
- General questions about unemployment via our question hotline at 833-572-8400.
- Reporting fraud via our special fraud hotline at 800-246-9763.
You may also submit weekly claims by phone using our automated system.
New information about returning to work
As the economy reopens in phases during the COVID-19 crisis, the Employment Security Department and our workforce partners are committed to supporting you with continued unemployment and re-employment services.
We have created two new pages – one about returning to work and one about situations where you may refuse to go back to your job. We will add to these pages as new information becomes available. Please check them frequently for updates.
